What we remove

Bulky seating is hard to move out of apartments and houses. We remove:

• Sofas, loveseats and sectionals
• Armchairs, recliners and accent chairs
• Dining chairs and bar stools
• Ottomans, poufs and footstools
• Sleeper sofas and futons
• Office and desk chairs

Our movers carry the pieces through doorways, stairwells and elevators, so you do not scratch floors or strain your back. If you are replacing a whole room, see our furniture removal page, and for beds see our mattress removal service.

How it works

1. Request a quote. Call (514) 295-2123, fill in the form on our remove your junk page or send photos. Tell us what pieces you have and how to get to them.
2. Confirm the price. We estimate the volume and confirm a price free of charge before pickup.
3. Pickup. Our movers arrive in the agreed window, carry the sofa or chairs out and load the truck.
4. Recycle or donate. We prioritize donation and recycling when possible, and dispose of worn pieces properly.

Areas we serve

We pick up sofas and chairs across the island of Montreal, including the Plateau-Mont-Royal, Rosemont, Villeray, Verdun, Outremont, NDG, Saint-Laurent and Lachine. Walk-ups, condos and houses are all fine. We also serve Laval, the North Shore (Terrebonne, Repentigny, Blainville, Boisbriand) and the South Shore (Longueuil, Brossard, Saint-Lambert, Boucherville), within about 80 km of Montreal. Call us to confirm your address. Our crews work 7 days a week from 8:00 to 20:00, so you can pick a morning, afternoon or early evening window that suits you.

Pricing

Sofa and chair removal starts at $150 CAD. The final price depends on volume, and we confirm it with a free quote before pickup, so you know the amount before anything is loaded. One armchair is a smaller job than a sectional with several chairs, so tell us what needs to go. Because the quote is free and confirmed before pickup, you can compare it and decide without pressure, and you pay for what is actually being removed. See our rates page for more details.

Getting rid of an old sofa: donate, recycle or dispose

Think about what is best for your old sofa before pickup.

• Donate: a clean sofa or chairs in good condition may be reusable. Mention it when you book.
• Recycle: frames, metal parts and some materials are sorted for recycling when possible.
• Dispose: torn, stained or damaged pieces go to proper disposal.

Measure the sofa and your doorways and stairwells if it is large, and tell us if the sofa has to go through a tight turn or an elevator. Remove cushions and cover loose parts if you can. If you are moving out, book a little ahead so the sofa is gone before cleaning. Common mistakes include leaving a sofa on the sidewalk, assuming a sectional fits through a narrow stairwell, and not mentioning a third-floor walk-up. Industrial waste is not accepted. If your whole living room is going, our house cleanout service can handle it in one visit.

A sofa is among the hardest things to move on your own. It is long, heavy and awkward, and it often has to turn corners in a narrow stairwell. Many customers call us when they receive a new couch and need the old one gone on the same day, or when they are moving out and the sofa will not travel. Tell us the dimensions, the floor and whether the building has an elevator, and we will plan the job and confirm the price for free before pickup. We also take dining chairs by the set, recliners and office chairs, and we can remove them along with other items in the same visit. Landlords and property managers use the service to clear units between tenants, and same-day pickup is often available. If you are unsure whether a piece will fit through a doorway, send a photo of the sofa and the entrance. We will tell you what to expect and confirm the price before pickup, so there are no surprises on the day.
